Be encouraged!

So being a 2nd year student myself, I know and feel the pressure of finding a placement. You've applied for 100's of jobs and nobody’s gotten back to you or you've been rejected. Feeling hopeless?  Yep, I get it. Now I was going to write a blog post after I had found one and use it as a chance to reflect and encourage. However I soon realised how unrelatable that is for those of you who don't yet have one.  So here I am giving advice on something I am currently journeying through myself. My journey of this is likely to be different to yours, but I thought I would share some encouragements I have found along the way. It’s not personal. Okay so maybe it is personal because everything you are is not what they’re looking for. This sounds like a real damper and is definitely one way to view it. However I see it as a redirection. I was having a chat with a lovely couple from my church whom I value very highly. They came over for dinner (I got to try out my NEW slow cooker- 10/10 recommend!)  and they were saying how they so often host and cook meals that they never get invited out. Then it hit me. We’re such consumers. As a student in church, we’re highly blessed with families who love to support us by cooking, praying, chatting to us. However it’s so very rare we ever invite them over, ask what we can pray for and invest in their life. If you’re reading this and you do this, then well done you. I am clearly late to the party haha. Ever since that conversation it’s been on my mind how much we take those gestures for granted. So In response to this, I am going to try and be a blessing to those who bless me. Now I have an awful lot of blessings to catch up on, but I’m ready! I am sooo guilty of this too but being a student doesn’t mean you can’t host. Just because your house may be
